Pastor’s Testimony

Thank you for your interest in Pleasant Hill and Perrysville Churches.

I’d like to share a small portion about myself.

My name is Pastor Dixie McHugh.
I have had the privilege of pastoring Pleasant Hill and Perrysville Churches for over seven years.

I accepted Christ in 1972.

I know the joys and struggles of marriage, the raising of our two daughters, and the blessing of four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

I know the loss of a spouse and the strength and grace God supplies during times of grief.

I know the fear of almost losing our first daughter at birth, and the gratitude of answered prayer when God poured life into our precious Tami.

I know the fulfillment of serving Christ for over 45 years.

I know the victories God has enabled me to win, and the defeats that often came when I didn’t do things God’s way.

I know the closeness of God when living rightly, and I know His faithfulness even when I failed to follow Him.

I have evangelized for many years, traveling extensively, ministering the Word through singing and preaching.

Perrysville and Pleasant Hill Churches are growing churches filled with gracious, godly men and women who love Jesus and faithfully serve Him.

Four years after my first husband, Kenneth Hendricks, went home to be with the Lord, God brought a wonderful Christian man into my life.

Brian McHugh attended Perrysville Church for over three years before our friendship became more.

We were married on July 13, 2025, and on February 13 we will celebrate our seven-month anniversary.

I share all of this because I want you to know the God I know—the true and living God, the God of the Bible.

The God who corrects and protects.
The God who delivers.
The God who restores.
The God who is fierce in strength and power, yet tender enough to hold a broken heart.

The God who sent His only Son, Jesus, for the “whosoever.”

Every human being born on this planet fits the description of a “whosoever.”
John 3:16
